Children’s Project
Improving children’s education in rural areas
The purpose of The Bush Camp is to deliver responsible tourism that generates meaningful and sustainable social impact. A core objective of our community engagement strategy is to support children’s education in rural and underserved areas where access to resources and opportunities is limited.
By reinvesting revenue from our nature-based tourism activities, alongside contributions from guests and partners, we aim to improve access to education for underprivileged children. Through close collaboration with local communities, The Bush Camp seeks to contribute to long-term social development and resilience in the regions in which we operate.

As part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement, The Bush Camp participates each year in a Children’s Day celebration at Ban Dong Dum School in Hod District. This annual initiative is designed to support and encourage young students through meaningful educational engagement, in line with the broader goal of the Children’s Project to strengthen access to education for children in rural and underserved communities.
Each year, our team organizes a range of educational and creative activities, such as drawing and essay competitions, designed to encourage learning, creativity, and student engagement. In addition, we provide prizes and award educational scholarships to recognize effort, talent, and achievement. These activities aim to build confidence, inspire a positive attitude toward education, and contribute to the personal development of participating children.
The event is particularly meaningful as it often includes children who regularly perform cultural shows at The Bush Camp, further strengthening the ongoing relationship between the camp and the local community. Through close collaboration with local schools and families, this annual engagement reflects our long-term commitment to delivering sustainable, community-driven educational outcomes and supporting improved future prospects for children.

In rural areas, many families face financial pressures and rely on children to help with household and agricultural work, making regular school attendance challenging—particularly for those living in remote locations where transportation is limited.
In recent years, The Bush Camp has provided support for school transportation to help less privileged children attend school more consistently, reflecting our commitment to reducing barriers to education and supporting equal learning opportunities within the community.

With the generous support of our guests, The Bush Camp provides ongoing donations to children at nearby pre-kindergarten centers, including Ban Phae Din Dang, Ban Wang Lung, and Ban Dong Dum.
Driven by this generosity, our mission is to bring joy while supporting early childhood development within the local community. Through guest donations, we are able to provide essential items such as warm clothing, developmental toys, school supplies, and nutritious snacks for young children.
All donated funds, educational materials, and essential items contributed by our guests are carefully distributed to ensure they are used to their fullest benefit by the children, reinforcing our commitment to responsible giving and meaningful community impact.
