Baan Dong Dum School Community Engagement Update by The Bush Camp Chiang Mai
We are excited to share with you the latest updates on our community engagement efforts at Baan Dong Dum School, located near The Bush Camp in Chiang Mai.
During our recent discussions with the teachers and the director of Baan Dong Dum School, we gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by the school. One prominent issue is the need for cleaning equipment, which currently falls under the teachers’ personal budgets. Additionally, there is a demand for better-quality teaching materials, such as printers, to elevate educational standards. Despite government funding for new clothes and essentials, some parents struggle to prioritize these items, leading to students attending school in substandard attire. Witnessing this firsthand motivated us to take action.
On the 7th of March 2024, we went to Baan Dong Dum School to provide and support much-needed cleaning supplies. We believe this contribution will make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of the students and teachers. Additionally, we were overjoyed to see the smiles on the children’s faces when they received stationery from us. Their enthusiasm and dedication to their studies reaffirm our commitment to supporting their academic journey.
