Wildlife Monitoring Project – Camera Trap Installation 2026
On 25 February 2026, our team from The Bush Camp Chiang Mai supported Mae Ping National Park with the installation of camera traps as part of the Wildlife Monitoring Project, working under official permission and the supervision of a park ranger.
This protected forest is home to rich biodiversity and a wide range of wildlife species. By deploying camera traps equipped with heat and motion sensors that operate both day and night, the team is able to monitor wildlife populations and behavior continuously without disturbing the natural environment.
The data collected will support practical conservation planning and contribute to a deeper understanding of wildlife and balanced coexistence. Following the installation, the team plans to return in approximately three months to review the results, retrieve data, and assess the performance of each camera unit.
At The Bush Camp, we believe that learning from nature is the starting point of meaningful change. Field-based action not only builds knowledge, but also represents a small yet important step toward safeguarding natural resources—ensuring that forests and wildlife remain part of our shared future for generations to come.
Stay tuned to see what our camera traps capture!
