Captured in the Wild: Camera Trap Collection #2 🌿📸
Following the first camera trap collection in May 2026, our cameras were returned to the forest to continue monitoring wildlife for another three months.
On 19 August, our team returned to Mae Ping National Park for the second camera trap collection, marking six months since the cameras were first installed in February under official permission and the supervision of a park ranger.
The latest footage revealed fascinating moments from the forest, including a herd of wild elephants visiting a natural waterhole at night, as well as deer, Eld’s deer, and wild boars foraging around a natural mineral lick.
During the collection, our team also discovered animal footprints, dung, and other signs of wildlife activity across several areas of the forest. Together with the camera trap footage, these findings provide encouraging signs of a rich and active forest ecosystem supporting a diverse range of wildlife.
Each image and wildlife trace helps us better understand how animals use this protected landscape and supports our continued commitment to wildlife monitoring and conservation.
