The Bush Camp Chiang Mai is located on the Ping river with stunning views overlooking lush vegetation and misty mountains, typical of Northern Thailand.
Located approximately 2 hours from Chiang Mai airport, we will ensure a smooth transfer to our camp, included in the tour package and operated by us. Our mini-van fleet features comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles with friendly drivers looking after you during your drive.
The Bush Camp consists of 10 tailormade, luxury tents, resembling African safari accommodation – all built by highly skilled local artisans prioritizing sustainability and supporting the local community.
Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Chiang Mai, you will be able to experience local life close to nature without missing out on the luxuries of an excellent equipped glamping tent with hot and cold shower, electricity, Wi-Fi and a magnificent view from your own spacious balcony.
During the day, you will have the unique opportunity to join our sustainable activities including our popular chain free, hands-off elephant experience taking place at the on-site Elephant Park.
The area around our Camp is natural, unique and prime habitat for myriad birds including green peafowl. This combined with the view of Chedi’s, temples and stunning mountain scenery will take you back to the times of ancient Chiang Mai.

To relax from all your adventures during the daytime, we invite you to hop into our infinity pool in the afternoon and enjoy a refreshing drink. From the pool you can admire the views over the magnificent Ping river and the Chedi’s nestled in the lush green mountains, glistening in the sunset.
At nighttime, you can join a delicious dinner, offering local and western cuisine in our open-air restaurant adjacent to the pool.
All meals, accommodation, activities, and transport are included in our unique package.

We came here as part of our honeymoon trip and what an experience it was! I was a little hesitant about camping but the tents were spotless and well air conditioned. The staff here were exceptional, particularly our own guide Pong who was amazing! The elephants here are well cared for and seem really content. We stayed for 2 nights and loved every minute. We particularly enjoyed feeding the elephants and swimming in the pool that overlooked the scenery below.

We had the most amazing time at the Bush Camp Chiang Mai. I would definitely recommend making the extra effort to travel to Chiang Mai (which in itself is a very interesting place) and visit the Bush Camp. We stayed for two nights and that seemed like the right amount of time: we had plenty of time with the elephants, time to experience the Karen ways of life, and some downtime by the pool. The food at the camp was plentiful and delicious. On every meal, there was a Thai option and something for the less adventurous culinary-wise. We also appreciated the happy hour drinks and barbecue on the poolside ahead of the evening’s program. Our guide for the duration of our stay was Pong. He was absolutely lovely and very knowledgeable.

Stunning experience with the villagers and the elephants. The staff could t do enough for us and our tent (No 10) was fabulous and spacious. I think you could do something similar in other locations closer to the beaches if you wanted to avoid flying up to chaing mai. The pool was a god send to cool off in the afternoons! 1 night was enough for us, we did all the activities and fully immersed ourselves in the jungle experience!

What a fantastic experience and a chance to be up close, meet and feed the elephants at the bush camp. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble, friendly and so helpful, our days were very hot but so beautiful. Thank you, PONG, for taking good care of us. He was an excellent guide, and he ensured we were always looked after. Thank you to all the staff a 10 out of 10
